"Inspired by Victorian mourning broaches and silhouette portraiture, Silhouette One- Burnt out (,Memoriam series) is part of a body of work titled solsatalgia about the sense of grief experienced by humanity due to the climate crisis. The portrait serves as an acknowledgement our mutual vulnerability, referencing bush fires and the green growth containing the promise of regeneration and hope for the future."
